My child experienced huge benefits from working with the EF Coach & Tutor Jennifer Grasse. This all started with Precious. We knew that our kid would resist the idea of executive function coaching, though we also knew it would benefit from the meetings. So Precious offered to talk to our kiddo herself. This worked. It led to a session with Jen on zoom within days. They then got into a twice a week pattern that moved the ball pretty quickly. This is a long journey to strong work habits, but the coaching has not merely improved grades and moral. We are already seeing a pivot in our child's confidence, engagement, and interest. I have been especially impressed with the communication from both Jen and Precious. Our high school students has, themselves, also become more communicative in the process. We could not be more grateful.

Tutoring at this facility has indeed been an exceptional experience. My brother, who is eight years younger than me, faced significant challenges after transitioning from a public middle school to one of the top private schools in Oakland. My tutoring experience has been overwhelmingly positive. It has allowed me to fully understand most of my school subjects, especially math. It is well balanced, helping students to prioritize their needs and review material that they may not have understood the first time around. My favorite aspect of tutoring is that the tutors constantly check in on students to ensure that they are comprehending the material. I would 100% recommend tutoring to anyone who is struggling in a particular subject. It will help you to grow and learn, and it will show you that you are not alone.

I would rate EF coaches and tutoring quite highly. As it was a significant change in my class from semester 1 to semester 2. In my second semester I felt more confident in my math skills as i felt super weak in the first semester and that’s because of EF tutoring and i’m greatly appreciative towards everyone that works there and for those who helped me.

I have been working with a Presh since the start of my 9th-grade year. I am now halfway through my 10th-grade year. Since 9th grade, she has helped me with every subject, like math, English, and Biology. Also, she has helped me with test prep in every class and has helped me gameplan for everything. Because of this, I feel like my grades have boosted a great amount.

As a student who had been coached by EF Coach and Tutors for 3 consecutive years, I have to say that I wouldn't have made it anywhere close to where I am now regarding executive functioning and work ethic throughout high school. I would highly recommend Precious Listana for executive functioning coaching. While there are lots of executive functioning tutors, Precious stands out as someone who actively takes into account strengths and leveraging them to address growth opportunities. She offers a free 60 minute appointment to make sure it's the right fit and then weekly appointments plus support during the week (accountability, tracking, etc.). It's exactly the right balance of scaffolding while fostering independence that students need. Definitely check them out.

I am very happy with EF Coach &Tutors. My daughter had a few very difficult Chemistry labs to complete and EF was able to get us scheduled right away due to a very tight deadline we had. Precious was a great tutor, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. For the items that were more difficult, she went the extra mile and did the research to find the answers needed. I highly recommend them and will call on the again if ever needed in the future!

EF Coach and Tutors is a perfect option for teenagers. The coaches/tutors not only provided the tutoring my daughter needed on the spot (whether it was help with an English essay, studying for a biology test, geometry assignment or theology quiz) but also helped with executive functioning skills. My daughter's coach was exceptional at building a relationship quickly and start supporting her. The remote aspect made it more flexible and possible with busy schedules. The founder checked in with me as well to ensure that our needs we being met. I highly recommend EF Coach & Tutors to any teenager or family of a teenager that could use any level of support.

We received a referral to EF Coach & Tutors from our daughter's high school guidance counselor as we assessed supplemental means to specifically develop our daughter's math skills. Precious took considerable time to assess and evaluate both our daughter and our family to identify the strengths, challenges, and environmental conditions of school and home pertaining to all aspects of our daughter's life. The time and consideration to really evaluate our daughter on an individual basis led to Precious suggesting formal engagement with one of her partners, Reece. Rather than simply jumping into tutoring, Reece took his own time to assess our daughter and curated the initial sessions as both discovery and engagement/action. We're now three months into weekly sessions and the improvement in cognition, awareness, and true correlation of skills to school work stays everything about the benefits of EF as a program. Reece provides recaps of every tutoring session in a personal email to the parents and the dashboard allows our daughter, as well as us, to see more formalized metrics. Reece (in concert with Precious) cares comprehensively about our daughter's success both in the targeted class work and by translating the skills taught in the sessions broadly to all applicable areas of life. I am currently a 10th-grader at Sacred Heart Cathedral and I've got to say that the tutoring is amazing! I have struggled with remembering what to do, not only that but English Honors and AAT (Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry) have been so difficult to overcome. However, thanks to EF Coach & Tutors, I was able to identify run-on sentences and use $10 words. For AAT, I understood linear programming and system of equations and got a perfect A on a really hard math test. And with the memory skills? I used the Pomodoro technique to help with the studying alongside taking advantage of my Google Calendar to remind me of upcoming assignments and tests. I agree that Chemistry and other possible subjects are difficult to comprehend, but there's always room to grow! Thank you so much for the experience.
